“Thank you so much for my PT session. I feel the 1-1 pilates is really helping me strengthen my core. Always better in your own home.”
“I’m really enjoying Jo’s fitness sessions as they are so varied and Jo mixes up the routines weekly so we don’t get too comfortable! The music is great and it’s a friendly group of familiar faces every week which adds to the overall fun of the classes.”

“I have been attending Jo’s classes for the last 2 years. These consisted of Body Attack, Body Pump, Body balance in her studio at the Vallum Centre. Now I do 3 classes with her at Matfen Village Hall and Newton Village Hall. Her classes are full of energy and also fun and have led to me feeling much fitter and stronger than I used to be. I am a retired physiotherapist and I can fully recommend her classes and her knowledge and ability to deliver excellent fitness courses.”

“Having not exercised for many years I’ve recently had a few health scares that have made me rethink my sedentary lifestyle. Menopause brought many changes including a hefty weight gain and crippling anxiety both of which contributed to many reasons I could find for not leaving the house never mind joining an exercise class. Spurred on by friends we all decided to join your Monday and Tuesday night classes. Leggings and a yoga mat purchased we turned up not knowing what to expect but based on past experience not expecting very much. The anxiety of just walking into the building was massive but I was determined to see this through. The first session was tough but enough endorphins were released to make me want to come back to the next session. You were extremely welcoming. The environment is not intimidating and it’s reassuring to be around women all striving for the same things. Your instructions are clear and the options for easier versions of the exercises are appreciated. At no point did I think I was being judged for not keeping up or for taking the easy options. I’m also confident that in a room full of women that you are noticing what we are doing. I like the reminders to keep my head up when yet again I’m staring at the floor, and your suggestion to use the strap when I was struggling to sit up was appreciated. The difference in my fitness levels in 6 weeks is nothing short of incredible. Really simple things like running up the stairs without my legs screaming at me. I’ve a long way to go before I can do a reasonable plank or sit up without a strap, but I’m noticing the improvement every week.
I had a week when I had to go on my own. No friends to support me and I showed up. This is massive for me. I would usually find a reason not to go myself. This just proves to me what a great environment you’ve created. I’m looking forward to the sessions now. It’s a bit of a reach to say I’m enjoying them. I’ve never gotten so hot I’ve steamed my glasses up before but here we are. With a side effect of medication and a change of diet the weight is at last coming off and my head feels clearer than it has for years. I feel motivated to come to your sessions so long may they continue.”
